Overview

Day 1: Arrival to Seiyun from Cairo. Picking up from the airport and head straight into town to exchange money & shop for some local clothing (buying Yemeni cloches for men and black abaya for women)

Day 2: Seiyun- Aynat -Tarim
Morning: Transfer to Seiyun and visit the following attractions: old town, honey market, traditional Al-Handhal market, fruit and vegetable market and Al-Fals Palace. Continue to Tarim, historic Sufi city, built in mud
Afternoon: Visit beautiful historical Sufi shrines in the Aynat area and the city of Tarim with its small market and Al-Mihdar mosque
Evening: Return to the hotel in Seiyun, dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Shibam “Manhattan of Arabia
Morning: Drive to the beautiful town of Shibam Hadramaut, home to the world’s first ancient skyscrapers. Often referred to as the “Manhattan of Arabia”, Shibam is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning mudbrick high-rises. We’ll explore the town and visit some beautifully restored buildings offering panoramic views over Shibam and the Wadi Hadhramaut. We will also visit the Shibam Museum and the Handicraft Center, where we can observe traditional dress weaving and skilled woodworkers at work.
Afternoon: We’ll head to the opposite side of the city to enjoy a breathtaking sunset view over the valley. You’ll have time to relax and soak in the scenery until early evening.
Evening: Drive back to Seiyun, followed by dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Drive to the Indian Ocean port city of Al-Mukalla
Morning: today we will travel via Wadi Sah to Mukalla, one of Yemen’s main cities and most important ports. Upon arrival, we’ll check in at the hotel and enjoy a traditional seafood lunch.
Afternoon: We’ll take a walk through the lively streets of the port, visit the AlGhawizi Fortress, and continue exploring the old city of Mukalla and its historic market.
Evening: enjoy a special fish dinner at Mukalla’s famous fish market, where fresh seafood is prepared in a traditional local style.

Day 5: Mukalla – Wadi Doan
Morning: After breakfast, we’ll visit the Mukalla fish market, then begin our journey to Wadi Do’an – a breathtaking valley renowned for its traditional villages and dramatic landscapes. We’ll stop for lunch overlooking Haid Al-Jizil, a striking village perched on a rocky outcrop in the heart of the valley, offering one of the most iconic views of Wadi Doa’n.
Afternoon: Enjoy an easy and scenic trek to Hawfah village, a peaceful and picturesque gem nestled within Wadi Do’an. We’ll then continue to Buqshan village, known for its vibrant and colorful palaces, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Evening: We’ll end the day with a sunset dinner overlooking Wadi Do’an, followed by an overnight stay in this enchanting valley.

Day 6: Continue exploring Wadi Doan (villages and towns around)
Morning: after breakfast, departure to Ribad, the hometown of the Bin Laden family, for a brief visit. The journey continues to Qarht Bahumaish, the last village of Wadi Do’an, followed by stops in Musainah village and the town of Al-Khuraiba.
Afternoon: enjoy a picnic lunch under the trees, facing the peaceful beauty of Qarn Majed village. After a relaxing break, we’ll head back.
Evening: savor a sunset dinner overlooking Wadi Do’an, an unforgettable view to close the day.

Day 7: Back to Seiyun
Morning: today, we begin our drive back to Seiyun, with several stops along the way. We’ll first visit the town of Saif, known for its beekeepers and the production of some of the world’s most expensive and prized honey. We’ll also enjoy photo stops at panoramic viewpoints throughout the valley, including the picturesque town of AlHajjarain, considered the second most beautiful city in the region after Shibam.
Afternoon: after lunch, we continue our journey back to Seiyun, where you’ll have some time to relax.
Evening: enjoy a special farewell dinner in Seiyun

Day 8: Departure to Cairo
